10 Must-Have Travel Apps
Here are 10 travel apps that will enhance your travel experience.
Google Translate is a GODSEND mkay! Language barriers are no longer an issue. All you have to do is download the language you need so it’s accessible offline. You type in what you’re trying to say and Google translate handles the rest! Google Translate also has other cool features as well.

2. Currency Exchange App
Pretty self-explanatory. Keep the exchange rates at the tips of your fingers with a currency exchange app. I personally use Globe Convert.

3. Google Maps
Google is pretty much the G.O.A.T for all of your travel needs. Navigate the city like a local with the Google Maps app.
You can download Google Maps here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/google-maps-transit-food/id585027354
4. WhatsApp Messenger
What’s App is a great way to communicate if your wireless carrier charges for international calls or texts. Stay in touch with your international peeps or people back home with What’s App ( note they must have WhatsApp as well), for FREE!
You can download WhatsApp here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/whatsapp-messenger/id310633997
5. Airlines App
As budget travelers, we fly any airline that has the best price on seats. However, we prefer to fly Delta and will usually splurge if the seats are close in cost. Having an airline app helps keep all of your flight information at the tips of your fingers. Never worry about missing gate changes or flight changes again!
6. Mobile Passport
All of my fellow international travelers should download this app. Save time re-entering the US with the Mobile Passport app. Accepted at more than 30 major US airports and cruise ports.
Download the Mobile Passport here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mobile-passport/id907024887
7. Hopper or Sky Scanner
Hopper or Sky Scanner:
Watch flight prices/trends and be alerted when you should wait for better ticket prices or to grab your flight ASAP with Hopper.
Download Hopper here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hopper-book-flights-hotels/id904052407
8. Rideshare App
Uber/Lyft/Grab (Rideshare app):
When you’re traveling places where cabs can try to scam you, and public transportation is hard to navigate, Uber comes through with the save. Similarly, apps like Lyft or Grab might be available as well. Grab seems to be available in places where Uber or Lyft are not. Be sure to do your research on the best modes of transportation in your travel destination.
